ALL ABOUT

Redstick

Our Mission

Redstick C.A.R.E.S. is committed to taking the lead in building a resilient community by transforming the way underserved populations access mental, behavioral, and social health through human connection.

Our Values

Human Connection
No person, community, or ecosystem exists in isolation. We believe the mental and emotional well-being of individuals is inextricably linked to the well-being of our community. Providing free, accessible, immediate, and consistent avenues for human connection is our path to wellbeing.

Integrity
To serve our mission, we hold ourselves and our services to high standards. We are committed to providing quality and timely attention to those in need. We honor our community by doing the next right thing, even when no one is looking.

Grit
We do not see challenges and setbacks as barriers to change. We fail when we are unwilling to adapt. With creativity and innovations, we push forward with courage and resolution.

Active Hope
To build the community we deserve, we must see beyond current challenges and choose to take action. Believing in change is our commitment to creating a resilient community.

Systemic Justice
Every member of our community deserves access to care and the opportunity to reach their full potential. In service to our mission, with the help of those most affected, we identify and address barriers to access of quality services.

Our Founders

Tara and Jannean first crossed paths during their time at Southeastern Louisiana University, where their shared passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others sparked a lasting connection. Both graduated with degrees in special education, and their commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments for individuals with special needs became the driving force behind their careers

After gaining invaluable experience in the classroom, Jannean set out to champion the rights and well-being of students with special needs. In pursuit of this mission, she founded Cornerstone Educational Consulting, a beacon of advocacy that seeks to empower students, parents, and educators alike. Through her work, Jannean has become a respected voice in the field, tirelessly working to break down barriers and ensure that every student receives the support they deserve.

On the other hand, Tara's journey led her to address a critical need in mental health services, particularly for the Medicaid population. Recognizing the importance of accessible and affordable mental health care, she founded Heal Your Life Counseling. Tara's innovative approach combines compassion with practical solutions, making a significant impact on the well-being of individuals who may face barriers to traditional mental health services.

Realizing the strength in their combined expertise and shared vision, Tara and Jannean joined forces to establish Redstick C.A.R.E.S. This collaborative endeavor reflects their commitment to holistic care, combining educational advocacy and mental health support to create a comprehensive approach to community well-being.
